RCTCBC; Mountain Ash Riverside Park

2008 BALI award winning scheme that, following an extensive community consultation process, saw the regeneration of a derelict former colliery site close to the town centre. The park provides a series of spaces and habitats and through the installation of a new footpath over the river Cynon, improves links along and across the valley.

The scheme includes numerous mosaics by Tim Clapcott, along with metalwork screens and ceramics, particularly in and around the striking entrance feature.
